The state of Mewar has founded around 530 AD by Maharana Udai Singh II of the Sisodia clan of Rajput when he shifted his capital from the city of Chittorgarh to Udaipur; it would go on to be called Udaipur after the name of its capital city. Udaipur; The City of Lakes, The City of Domes, Venice of the East, and one of the most romantic cities of the world; has a rich history, culture, and tradition of Art, Architecture, and Culinary Hospitality. A tradition that lives in its people and can be experienced in the sights, sounds, and aromas to be found on the narrow streets of the old city, its bazaars, its palaces, its eateries and its haveli’s (mansions).
